Hey, Cloud Engineer. Are you ready to change the world of supply chain forever?
Nice to meet you, we are Faber LABS. A brand-new division of Faber Group that is launched to digitalize our load carrier business models. With endless possibilities to make supply chains more sustainable, transparent, and efficient, but above all future-proof, we need your engineering and problem-solving skills to achieve our goals. Ready to take on the challenge?
Your role as Cloud Engineer
Maybe you noticed, but we have big ambitions. So you, as a Cloud Engineer, will play a critical role in ensuring we reach our goals. You will design, implement and oversee the cloud infrastructure of our centralized data platform. This role requires both critical thinking and hands-on work. On the one hand, you will support colleagues by advising on which AWS services to use when & how, making sure our infrastructure is robust, secure and (cost)efficient. On the other hand, you will also do the actual implementation of setting up the infrastructure and monitoring.
What you’ll do
- Cloud Infrastructure: Design and implement the AWS services for our centralized data platform, as well as for AI projects in the business, together with a cloud architect. This includes balancing factors such as scalability, speed, usage and pricing.
- Sustainability: Ensure that the set-up we choose is sustainable & robust for both the short-term and long-term. This includes automating the provisioning of cloud resources and setting up monitoring and management processes.
- Security: Ensure that the set-up we choose is secure in terms of data & IT, and that your colleagues are educated about this topic.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely together with your cloud infra colleagues to devise the right cloud strategy. You will also support colleagues from the Data team by selecting & implementing the right services for our data platform & AI projects.
- Team Contributions: As our team is new, we’d love your input & contribution to further mature the team, e.g. by supporting knowledge sharing, setting up comprehensive documentation and devising the optimal way of working.
