Cloud Engineer (Azure) – Contract/Freelance

Overview:

Our client are currently searching for a Cloud Engineer to aid the Public Cloud Business Unit. As a Cloud Engineer you will accelerate cloud adoption and drive digital transformation by implementing and managing scalable cloud solutions. The Public Cloud Business Unit provide expertise in Azure services, focusing on infrastructure, security, compliance, and cost optimization.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Azure cloud solutions for business applications.
• Ensure best practices for cloud architecture, security, and seamless integration with existing systems.
• Automate testing and deployment processes for Azure services.
• Collaborate with operational teams to design and deliver scalable and reliable Azure infrastructure.
• Provide Tier 3 technical support for Azure cloud services, including troubleshooting and maintenance.

Requirements:

• Core Knowledge: Azure infrastructure (Accounts, Networking, Virtual Machines, etc.), automation (ARM templates, Terraform, CI/CD), monitoring, containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), DevOps practices and logging.
• Nice to Have: Experience with Networking (Private Link, ExpressRoute), Security (IAM, WAF), Storage (Blob, Azure Storage), Databases (CosmosDB, Azure SQL), ITIL, and cloud cost management

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong communication skills with fluency in English.
• Experience working with global, remote teams.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative, agile environment.
