We are seeking a skilled Cloud Deployment Engineer with a strong focus on Linux system administration and application support. This role involves troubleshooting a range of issues, including database performance, network connectivity, and deployment failures. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with compute platforms such as Kubernetes and virtual machines, along with a solid understanding of various storage solutions. We are looking for high-performance engineers who are curious and capable of solving real-world problems.

This role operates on a rotational shift schedule, alternating between the following two shifts:

• Afternoon Shift: 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM (Flexi-Hybrid)
• Night Shift: 12:00 AM – 9:00 AM (Fully Remote)

Salary range: MYR 7,000 - MYR 10,000 max based on experience and suitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain system performance for application and infrastructure stability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to databases, network connectivity, and deployments.
• Ensure SLAs are met for issue resolution and maintain service standards.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions for recurring incidents.
• Enhance monitoring solutions to proactively detect issues.
• Assist with the deployment and configuration of new applications/services.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks.
• Participate in on-call rotations and manage critical incidents.
• Analyze system logs and metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Expertise in Linux system administration.
• Experience troubleshooting application support issues (performance/connectivity).
• Solid knowledge of database management and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and virtual machines.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills across various technical components (compute, storage, network, database).
• Ability to speak in Mandarin is a must.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance optimization.
• Experience with scripting and automation for system administration.
• Knowledge of networking and troubleshooting methods.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and containerization.
