As the Cloud DevOps Engineering at Cloud Protection and Software Licenses Business Line you are responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining the cloud systems, applying your technical knowledge to solve a variety of technological issues and challenges. You are responsible for testing, configuring, and troubleshooting software and networking systems to meet identified needs. You will take care of all the technical workload related to cloud hosting and computing.


Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Support and troubleshoot all applications to ensure our cloud services is optimized for performance and reliability.

• Implement Automation and pipeline codes in a timely fashion and with high quality, consistent with standards for the Group.

• Test and Deploy software/applications updates, new features and hotfixes using various CI/CD tools Like (Helm charts, Ansible, GitLab pipelines, terraforms) across multiple cloud services (AWS & GCP) consistency

• Analyze product requirements and identify the best database solution, technology, and tool.

• Ensure database consistency of the projects by resolving any constraints.

• Develop database installation and upgrade script, which is part of CI/CD.

• Forecast, inform risk/concern on task, team, or project level, and propose mitigation plans.

• Provide technical solutions, support, and perform several activities for a new or customized database of products/components used in the project which includes but is not limited to database design, installation, upgrade, migration, backup, recovery, failover, HA, hardening, monitoring, etc.

•Orchestrate and optimize the database activities of several databases, schemas, and components in one project or solution.

• Manage system/network configuration and monitoring.

• Strategize and plan for data migration, and develop data migration script if required by the project.

• Support, investigate and propose solutions/workarounds for production issues related to the database.

• Provide documentation as appropriate including design documentation, comments in code, and end-user documentation

• Provide input to improve the scalability and reliability of infrastructure to our Automation Architects

• Deploy and assist with the maintenance of automation technologies

• Participate in the on-call schedule & Provide L2/L3 Support to our Services desk and R&D teams

• Document all build and run procedures when implementing new automation technologies.

• Socialize designs with team and integrate suggestions and changes as appropriate.


Requirement for the position:

  • General OS systems, Enterprise, programming & scripting languages (i.e. C, Python, Java, Bash, PowerShell), and Office software
  • Database and networking security systems
  • Local Area Network (LAN), wireless networks, and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies (e.g. DWDM, SONET, ATM, MSPP)
  • Storage and cloud computing technologies
  • Test and configuration tools
  • You have experience in either Azure, AWS, GCP, or VMware VMC providing Infrastructure as a Service
  • You have the ability to code to a basic level in PowerShell, REST, YAML, and Java
  • You have solid networking understanding including routing switching and overlay
  • You have experience in software firewall configuration of both guest and platform
