About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team in Reston, VA. This is a hybrid role, offering a balance of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud solutions architecture—preferably AWS or Azure—and a strong background in enterprise data platforms. You will play a pivotal role in designing scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions that support our organization’s growth and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement end-to-end cloud-based solutions leveraging AWS or Azure services.
• Develop scalable data architectures to support enterprise-wide data lake, data warehouse, and data mart initiatives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams—including data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders—to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead architecture design sessions, present architectural approaches, and provide deep technical guidance.
• Define best practices and standards for cloud-native data solutions, ensuring security, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate on cloud migration strategies for moving legacy data platforms to modern cloud architectures.
• Keep current with emerging cloud technologies and evaluate their potential for adoption.
• Provide governance and oversight of multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in solutions architecture with a focus on AWS or Azure platforms.
• Proven expertise in Enterprise Data Platforms—including data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL pipelines, and data integration frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, networking, and best practices for data storage and processing.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and influence decision-making at both technical and business levels.
• Experience working in agile environments and using modern DevOps/CI-CD practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Exposure to cloud migration projects for data platforms is a plus.
• Certification in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
