QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience, with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant industry experience.
• Extensive experience implementing the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and applying principles from the Well-Architected Framework (WAF), with a proven track record of migrating applications to the cloud using AMPP and other methodologies.
• Proficient in designing and managing Azure-based and hybrid network infrastructures across multiple sites, regions, subscriptions, and virtual networks.
• Skilled in designing and administering Microsoft 365 and collaboration tools, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Intune, and other Office 365 services.
• Expert-level knowledge of Azure governance, ExpressRoute, Azure Site Recovery, site-to-site VPN devices, Azure Monitor, role-based access control (RBAC), virtual networking, and subscription peering.
• Proficient in scripting using PowerShell, VBScript, Python, Ansible, and similar tools.
• Experienced in infrastructure automation leveraging Terraform, Ansible, Python, serverless functions, and version control platforms such as Git, GitHub, and GitLab.
• Solid working knowledge of networking, virtualization, storage area networks (SAN), and related infrastructure technologies.
• In-depth understanding of Active Directory architecture, including Sites and Services, DNS, DHCP, and integration with cloud services.

STRONG FOUNDATIONAL KNOWLEDGE ACROSS A RANGE OF KEY TECHNICAL AREAS, INCLUDING:

• Networking: Web Application Firewall (WAF), Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Firewall, Azure DNS, and Hybrid DNS solutions.
• Identity and Access Management: Azure Key Vault, Managed Identities, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Entra ID: Managed Identities, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Service Principals.
• IAM: In-depth understanding of users, groups, service accounts, and their distinctions.
• Azure Governance Compliance: Practical experience with the Cloud Adoption Framework and the Well-Architected Framework.
• Data Services: Familiarity with Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and Blob Storage.
• Containers and Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of microservices design and implementation.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within teams and deliver excellent customer service, with flexibility to adjust working hours as needed.
• Strong end-to-end troubleshooting capabilities across cloud and infrastructure environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to clearly convey technical concepts.
• Cloud-related technical certification is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement cloud computing architecture solutions (with a focus on Azure) that address cloud security and compliance fundamentals, deployment automation and elastic sizing of environments and multi-tenant implementations.
• Create migration plans and migrate on-prem resources and workloads to Azure using infrastructure as code, and other methods, including PowerShell and Azure Command-Line Interface (CLI).
• Configure and administer Entra ID (Azure AD), Identity and access management (IAM), RBAC, SSO, Security/Policies/Resource Governing/Azure Key Vault.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud functionality, M365, AVD, VMs (Windows, Linux), route tables, custom Images, containers, performance, policies, integration and access.
• Enable DevOps development activities and complex development tasks that will involve working with tools such as Docker, Kafka, and container management systems. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployment of infrastructure.
• Lead pre-production readiness efforts, POCs, lab testing and knowledge transfer. Provide architectural design diagrams and documentation and assess how to implement technologies into the existing infrastructure.
• Provide expertise in VMware virtualization technologies, including vSphere and vCenter.
• Act as a subject matter expert for Cloud Infrastructure Architecture and Cloud Adoption Frameworks, Well-Architected Framework as it relates to compute, network, storage, and native SaaS/PaaS offerings.
• Maintain overall industry knowledge on the latest trends and technology and demonstrate forward thinking around how technology can support the organizational direction.
