Job Title Cloud Architect What does a successful Cloud Architect do at Fiserv? A successful Cloud Architect at Fiserv will design, deploy, and manage robust cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure. Their expertise in Kubernetes and experience in migrating over 100 applications will be indispensable in architecting scalable and high-performance infrastructure. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of top-tier cloud-native applications and infrastructure. What you will do: * Lead Cloud Architecture & Design: Implement and optimize scalable, secure, and cost-effective Azure-based architectures for new and existing systems. * Drive Migration Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end migration of large-scale enterprise applications (100+ apps) to Microsoft Azure, ensuring minimal downtime and optimum performance. * Manage Kubernetes & Istio: Design and implement Kubernetes clusters (AKS, OpenShift) for microservices architectures, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. * Develop Automation & CI/CD Pipelines: Automate deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab, and other cloud-native tools to streamline infrastructure and application delivery. * Collaborate & Mentor: Work closely with DevOps, development, and operations teams to ensure best practices in cloud architecture, containerization, and orchestration. Mentor junior architects and engineers, and support operations in managing production environments in Azure. * Optimize Performance: Continuously evaluate and optimize the performance, security, and scalability of Azure cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, and Istio service meshes. What you will need to have: * Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent certification. * 5+ years of experience architecting, deploying, and managing Azure-based cloud infrastructures and applications using Terraform scripting and infrastructure as code (IaC). * 5+ years of experience managing production-level Kubernetes clusters in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or other cloud environments. * Experience migrating over 100 applications to the cloud, including application re-platforming, refactoring, and lift-and-shift strategies. * 4+ years of experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and GitLab for building, testing, and deploying cloud-native applications What would be great to have: * 3+ years of experience with Azure cloud platform (AWS or GCP will be a plus). * Familiarity with container orchestration beyond Kubernetes, including Docker Swarm or OpenShift. * Knowledge of cloud security best practices and tools for securing cloud-native applications.
