Cloud & Infrastructure Architect
The Role:
As a Cloud & Infrastructure Architect, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and governing cloud and infrastructure strategy.
You’ll lead the design, standardisation, and oversight of cloud environments, hybrid infrastructures, and core IT systems to ensure scalability, security, and performance.
This role is vital for delivering cost-effective, high-performing cloud services that support the company’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Define and govern cloud and infrastructure strategies aligned with business needs and regulations.
- Design and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures.
- Enforce best practices for cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
- Lead technology selection, adoption, and evaluation.
- Ensure compliance with security and resilience standards.
- Work closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to deliver optimised infrastructure solutions.
You bring at least 15 years of IT experience, including:
- A number of years in infrastructure architecture related roles.
- Cloud Architecture experience, particularly in Azure, Google Cloud (GCP) and Terraform.
- Strong understanding of IT governance, security standards (e.g., NIST, ISO2700x), and frameworks (e.g., ITIL, CSA, OWASP).
- Proven expertise in architecting large-scale infrastructure solutions and guiding technology teams.
- Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, GCP) are a plus.
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g., TGA) is highly desirable but not mandatory
