Job Description
Clinical Psychology Program Coordinator (part-time)
Come join the BYU Psychology Department, where we teach students to discover truth about the intricacies of human nature. As our Clinical Psychology Program Coordinator, you will coordinate recruitment, admission, and program advisement for all clinical psychology PhD students. Your administrative oversight will include accreditation, assisting students with their graduation progress, and program assessment and reporting. What You’ll Do In This Position
- Advise 40 clinical psychology graduate students from admissions to graduation, and manage the clinical psychology student programs of study, including updating and distributing the graduate handbook and coordinating completion of comprehensive exams
- Support student recruitment: attend local grad fairs, update recruiting websites, manage admissions portal, and plan Q&A sessions for potential applicants
- Assist the Director of Clinical Training with annual reports for accrediting bodies, manage the evaluation process for students, and manage financial accounts, program website, and applicant correspondence
- Oversee daily administration of the Clinical Psychology program office
- Train and supervise student employees
- Assist clinical faculty with special projects and plan program events
- Provide support to the externship and clerkship coordinator, ensuring fieldwork placements comply with APA guidelines and ensuring clerkship funding is within appropriate measures
- Assist with the clinical psychology endowment effort, including providing information to current and potential donors
- Collaborate with department staff on events, class scheduling, student travel funding, and faculty/staff recruitment efforts
Required
What qualifies you for this role:

- Bachelor’s Degree or four years of office experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Language skills, including writing, editing, and communicating
- Ability to work with interruptions, strict deadlines, and stressful situations
- Emotional intelligence and mature interpersonal judgment to work constructively with administration, faculty, staff, and students
- Interpersonal skills to effectively manage workplace climate and morale
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks that can be delegated
- Ability to learn quickly
- Analytic and problem-solving skills to prioritize and address real-time workplace issues
- Ability to keep confidence and protect highly sensitive information
- De-escalation skills
- General office skills
Preferred
- 3+ years of related on-campus office work or equivalent off-campus work
- Familiarity with university policies and procedures
- Knowledge of campus resources
- Management skills and/or comfort interacting with young adults
- Experience with event planning
- Project management experience
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Canva or similar software
