Job Description:

Optomi, in partnership with one of our premier clients in the Healthcare industry, is seeking a Clinical Program Manager to join their team! The Clinical Program Manager is responsible for leading the successful implementation and oversight of strategic technology and clinical initiatives within a healthcare environment. This individual will drive program execution, coordinate cross-functional and vendor teams, and ensure all projects align with organizational goals, budget, timelines, and quality standards. This role also plays a critical part in business case development, success metric definition, cost forecasting, risk mitigation planning, and overall delivery excellence using standardized project and program management methodologies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-level clinical and technology programs with strategic alignment to business objectives.
  • Manage cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Ensure clear definition and achievement of project goals, scope, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Oversee financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking.
  • Facilitate business case creation and track success metrics to evaluate program value and outcomes.
  • Apply structured change management and risk mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Enforce adherence to project management methodologies, tools, and standards.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to project teams and junior staff.
  • Ensure smooth transitions to support and operational environments post-implementation.


Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Program Manager leading complex, large-scale clinical or technology initiatives.
  • Proven experience in healthcare system implementations.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis in project settings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, healthcare, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Preferred certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), Agile Certification, or Lean Six Sigma


Tools & Technologies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
  • Experience with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio).
  • Project management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, MS Project).
  • Financial management tools (e.g., Apptio or similar).
