Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Report Generation team.
- Lead and influence cross-functional initiatives to drive performance improvements and meet key business goals.
- Manage cross-functional projects from inception through delivery, coordinating implementation tasks and ensuring timely execution with clear stakeholder communication.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, performance metrics, and stakeholder feedback.
- Act as the subject matter expert for report generation operations, ensuring quality and consistency across outputs.
- Identify growth and optimization opportunities and design execution roadmaps.
- Design and implement new workflows to address challenges and support operational objectives.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to develop and improve applications that support internal operations and product delivery.
- Use data analysis to develop insights and craft compelling business narratives.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues impacting operational metrics or processes.
- Includes direct management of team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Biological Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or a related field), or equivalent experience.
- Highly skilled in adapting communication for cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills used to build consensus, drive alignment, and influence decision-making at all levels.
- Proven ability to design and optimize workflows in support of operational goals.
- Lead Protected Health Information (PHI) governance and compliance initiatives within the team.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects, balancing priorities and resources to drive results.
- Experience working as part of a larger team to drive initiatives at scale.
- Knowledgeable and skilled in generative AI.
- Highly adaptable and effective in high-ambiguity, fast-changing environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with operational development and process improvement projects.
- Highly experienced in end-to-end Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows.
- Proven experience in operations management within a fast-paced or complex environment.
CHI: $85,000-$120,000
The expected salary range above is applicable if the role is performed from Illinois and may vary for other locations (California, Colorado, New York). Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience. Tempus offers a full range of benefits, which may include incentive compensation, restricted stock units, medical and other benefits depending on the position.
