Summary

Clinical Coder Location: Austin, TX (location is non-negotiable) The Clinical Coder will prioritize medical review for individual case safety report in accordance with guidelines, regulatory due dates, turnaround time/Service Level Agreements (SLA's) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's). Review medical source documents and narrative to ensure accurate and appropriate information is entered into Global Safety Database. Confirm and advise on medical assessment queries from case processing associates, literature reviewers, quality reviewers and triage associates. Job Description + Embedding digital transformation in healthcare operations end to end, driving superior outcomes and value realization today, and enabling streamlined operations to serve the emerging health care market of tomorrow + Part of the Healthcare Claims team which is responsible for the administration of health claims + This team is involved in core claim processing such as registering claims editing verification claims evaluation and examination litigation + Manage review data generated through manual or programmed listings including, but not limited to all external data sources Roles and Responsibilities + Required to do analysis and solving of increasingly complex problems + Research medical policies and determine effects to claims edits and audits + Work collaboratively with customers and lead workgroups + Assist with claims processing and review medical documentation + Assist with customer auditing programs + Assist with creation and maintenance of work instructions for claims processing. Job Requirements + Must meet Accenture's Primary Residential Location (PRL) for the Austin office Basic Qualifications + Minimum of 2 years Clinical Coding experience + Minimum of 2 years' experience in the Healthcare Industry Preferred Qualifications + Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification + LVN or RN License for the State of Texas + Medicare/Medicaid experience + Healthcare Medical Insurance Billing background + Medical Claims experience Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
