Compensation for this position is set at $27/hour.
This person will need to work hybrid from our San Francisco, CA office three days per week.

The Clinical Analytics Intern, is responsible for …
Telling a meaningful and impactful clinical story without drowning in the ever-growing sea of healthcare data requires not only technical skill but a firm understanding of the healthcare industry and population health. This position will build insightful, data driven clinical insights to tell the story of Accolade's vision for how to improve the health and wellbeing of all our members.
A day in the life…
* Develop and implement algorithms to find clinical insights from Accolade's multiple data sources. Areas of interest include member targeting and stratification, cost and utilization pattern analyses, and quality measurement.
* Work with the clinical strategy team and clinical operations team to process requirements and convert them into meaningful queries
* Synthesize coherent, business aligned stories from the clinical insights and present findings to stakeholders
* Work collaboratively with different technical teams including data engineering, data science and reporting teams
* Participate in the definition of application scope and objectives through research and fact finding.
* Support adhoc requests by writing advanced queries and producing custom data sets
What we are looking for…
Required:
* Bachelors or Master's Degree in Business, Information Management, Computer Science Engineering related fields
* Basic to Intermediate SQL scripting languages (T-SQL, PL/SQL, etc.)
* Data warehouse concepts and experience in working on SQL Server/AWS Redshift, etc.
* Strong Communication skills
Nice To Have:
* Coursework or experience in population health or US healthcare system
* Experience in Reporting tools like Qlikview, QlikSense, Tableau
* Skill or interest in healthcare data, experience working with medical or pharmacy insurance claims data
* Knowledge of healthcare data coding systems (ICD10, CPT, NDC/GPI)
* Experience with predictive analytics and forecasting
