Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage a client portfolio of moderate to strategic or complex projects, leading the delivery of all technical and service aspects for clients. Look for opportunities to build better efficiencies or solve problems creatively for more successful outcomes.
  • Craft the preliminary study framework and lead all aspects of the study from start to finish.
  • Involve appropriate internal and external customers, maintain continuous communication, and ensure consistently high standards of work using quality management systems.
  • Participate in Project Meetings at a Fisher Clinical or customer site. Lead and represent the business at kick-off meetings as required by the customer. Facilitate customer teleconferences, visits, and audits as required, and provide timely customer reports and updates.
  • Work with team members, contact departments, customers, QA/Regulatory, account manager to gain overall customer satisfaction.
  • Translate customer needs into quotations and monitor and amend quotes and budgets as required. Provide accurate and timely financial forecasting and reporting.
  • Coordinate revenue recognition for projects and verify final production information for the Accounting Department before invoice release.
  • Participate in cross-functional business process improvement activities.
  • Apply GXP in all areas of responsibility.
  • Train, mentor, or lead new colleagues on the team.

Project Management

  • Structures project(s) in line with client strategy, inclusive of identifying needs, establishing goals, defining resources requirements and tracking performance. Skilled at identifying gaps and prioritizing improvement opportunities.
  • Proactively diagnoses project challenges, developing solutions and/or overcoming undesirable situations with minimal guidance and may mentor other team members on project resolution.
  • Effectively defines, tracks, and manages budgets and revisions to reflect scope changes and established commitments.
  • Understands customer contract terms & conditions.

Client Relationship Management

  • Perform and interpret comprehensive need analyses, understanding the customer's target market and value proposition.
  • Communicate Thermo Fisher's value proposition effectively in relation to the competition.

Technical Knowledge

  • Leverage and interpret data independently to ensure successful project results and customer satisfaction .
  • Lead projects efficiently across different systems and maintain accountability for individual and team outcomes.
  • Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of work processes, procedures, and outputs.

Project Management Leadership

  • Seek mentorship and guidance to drive personal development and strengthen project management skills.
  • Ensure all communications are clear, focused, and based on a solid understanding of needs using the most appropriate medium.
  • Collaborate with others to quickly resolve issues or develop solutions. Facilitate alignment on timelines among cross-functional teams.
  • Take ownership of project results, foster respect from team members, and ensure agreement on the overall vision.

Key Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Years of Experience: 4 to 5 years in project management or client-facing roles; experience in a pharma environment preferred but not required. 3 years of experience acceptable if holding an advanced degree.
