Job Purpose

This is a hybrid role: Client Relations and Business Development.


During the mornings you will typically be focused on Client Relations tasks: cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty. You will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing their needs, resolving issues, and driving value through our products or services. This role requires a customer-centric mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage client expectations.


For the rest of the working day you will be focussing on Business Development duties to grow our fund client base in a sustainable and efficient way.


Responsibilities:


Client Relations:

  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with assigned clients, serving as their trusted advisor and advocate within the organization.
  • Understand clients' business objectives, challenges, and opportunities, and align our products or services to meet their needs.
  • Conduct regular check-ins, meetings, and business reviews to assess client satisfaction, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Client Engagement and Support:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and requests, providing timely and effective resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, operations, and product development to address client needs and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the client experience and drive value through our products or services.
  • Client Retention and Growth:
  • Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling based on client needs and usage patterns, collaborating with sales teams to drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize client churn and maximize client lifetime value, such as targeted engagement initiatives and loyalty programs.
  • Issue Resolution and Escalation:
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal departments to resolve issues or escalations in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple client issues simultaneously, ensuring prompt resolution while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyse client data, usage metrics, and feedback to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, highlighting key insights, client feedback, and performance metrics.


Business development:

  • Lead source and conduct research to establish whether or not fund managers may be suitable for the Murano service.
  • Introduce new fund managers to Murano: this could include cold-calling, marketing and email campaigns, attending conferences, acting upon referrals from industry contacts and current clients, managing incoming requests.
  • Be an ambassador for the firm and have a thorough knowledge of our service.
  • Gather correct contact information and firm details, using access to external data and information sources and an internal CRM.
  • Record all interactions with potential clients within a CRM system: maintain an up-to-date record of all sales pipelines and prospects so that accurate forecasts can be made.
  • Draft proposals and other supporting material required post-meeting. This may involve producing supporting documents and stats.
  • Produce weekly progress reports for Senior Management.
  • Participate in regular review sessions with Senior Management to assess performance.
  • Follow up with companies where Murano has had past relationships, re-initiating contact.
  • Arrange and attend sales meetings - pitching the Murano service offering.
  • Travel occasionally, including internationally to attend conferences and build out roadshows.
  • Understand our competitors, and value proposition. Be able to answer questions surrounding the business model, and run sales meetings with senior executives.
  • Organize and execute any follow-up processes that are required post-meeting.
  • Help to prepare formal agreements.



About You:


  • Proven experience in client relations, account management, or a related field (at least 2 years in a B2B setting). The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years' experience cold calling businesses.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems, client engagement tools and data analytics platforms preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients at all levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
