Summary

Join Plymouth Rock Assurance as a Claims Representative, Subrogation, where you will play a pivotal role in facilitating prompt collections and maximizing recovery for losses sustained by our insureds. You will leverage your expertise in assessing liability, negotiating settlements, and enhancing our claims processes.

Responsibilities

  • Liability Assessments: Analyze investigations to make liability assessments, including reviewing first and third-party statements, witness testimonies, scene photos, and other relevant data.
  • Evaluate Damages: Evaluate proximate cause, negligence, and damages to adjust reserves accordingly.
  • Negotiate Settlements: Negotiate and settle claims within your authority, seeking guidance from supervisors when necessary.
  • Follow-up Management: Maintain an effective follow-up system on pending files, ensuring efficient task prioritization.
  • Serve as Intermediary: Act as an intermediary between the company, preferred vendors, customers, insureds, and claimants to facilitate smooth communication and recovery.
  • Case Management: Utilize the Adverse Stream system for case management, ensuring an organized and active diary management system.
  • Arbitration Contentions: Respond to and draft arbitration contentions, with the willingness to become certified as an arbitrator.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to privacy guidelines, laws, and regulations related to claims handling, ensuring full compliance.
  • Optimize Settlements: Scrub adverse carrier proofs to secure optimal settlements, collaborating with appraisal staff or Hyper Quest as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3 to 5+ years of experience handling auto comparative negligence claims.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products and strong computer skills.
  • Arbitration Knowledge: Working knowledge of the inter-company arbitration process is advantageous, and certification from Arbitration Forums is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Licensing: Ability to obtain state licenses when required.
  • Additional Qualifications: Pursuing an insurance designation is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Communication & Organizational Skills: Strong customer service, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills to handle complex claims and negotiate effectively.
