Job Title: Civil/Structural Engineer

Location : Georgetown, KY

Duration : 12+ months contracting

Rate : $40 to $45/hr on W2

Key Notes:

• Expect up to 20% overtime.
• Travel will be required at least once a month based on project and study needs; typically begins 2-3 weeks after the start date.
• No dispatch or international travel.
• Onsite work is required Monday through Thursday. Remote work on Fridays may be permitted based on project needs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead multi-disciplinary projects and studies with a focus on civil and structural scopes, including work on parking lots, building expansions, guard houses, trailer docks, storm retention, and tank pits.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Civil & Structural systems in North America.
• Collaborate with internal SMEs to align scope and schedules.
• Investigate industry trends, corporate standards, and current/past building performance.
• Manage a portfolio of 10–15 manufacturing and non-manufacturing projects simultaneously.
• Conduct weekly meetings with external stakeholders to discuss project scope, estimates, and schedules.
• Perform internal reviews of civil and structural system designs provided by external engineering firms.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Participate in all phases of building design and construction.
• Engage in planning activities including estimating, scheduling, and proposal development.
• Utilize intermediate-level skills in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Outlook).
• Travel up to 25% as needed.
• Work overtime up to 20% as required.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
2. 0–5 years of experience; 3–5+ years preferred in civil/structural engineering design.
3. Experience with design criteria development for civil and structural systems.
4. Background in automotive, industrial manufacturing, or similar environments.
5. Willingness and ability to travel to project sites.
6. Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with software such as Bluebeam and AutoCAD.

Work Details:

• Location: Kentucky
• Schedule: Monday through Friday (Onsite Monday–Thursday; potential remote work Friday)
• Hours: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
• Travel: Yes, up to 25%
