Manage the delivery of new subdivision projects in the Darwin area!


Your new company

Our client, a successful local company specialising in Civil Construction, is recruiting a Civil Project Manager to deliver the construction of multiple subdivisions in the Darwin area. The projects involve excavation, bulk earthworks, concreting and surfacing works, storm water drainage, water and sewer main infrastructure works.


Your new role

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of projects in accordance with the Client's requirements, on time and to budget. You will be the main point of contact for the client and represent the company in all dealings. This is a permanent full-time role based in Darwin.

Your key responsibilities will be:
  • Liaise with and advise clients on project feasibility and delivery methodologies.
  • Develop project plan including scope, budget, schedule, and risk items.
  • Lead, organize and provide direction for Site Supervisors and Leading Hands to ensure outstanding performance is achieved in Quality and Safety.
  • Direction and monitoring of subcontractors, suppliers, and plant hires.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as well as statutory bodies to facilitate delivery of each project.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, cost, and potential risk, and manage project documentation.


What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Previous experience in a Project Manager role working on Civil projects (Bulk earthworks, Road Construction, Storm water drainage, Infrastructure projects) in Australia.
  • Previous experience in delivering subdivision projects in Australia.
  • Ability to read and interpret contract documents and project drawings.
  • Experience with implementation of management systems on a project.
  • Experience with subcontract management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.
