Job Title: Civil Project Engineer
Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer to join our team and help build out our Civil Engineering department. The individual will be responsible for collaborating with other engineers in developing the overall layout and original designs. This role requires a team leader who will offer guidance to ensure functional excellence, competency, and development.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with other engineers to develop overall layout and original designs for projects.
* Lead the team in the office and on projects to ensure successful execution.
* Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure functional excellence and competency.
* Develop project scopes, programming, and fee proposals.
* Support business development, marketing, presentations, interviews, and client management.
* Handle multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a team setting.
Essential Skills
* Civil Engineering degree or related field, or equivalent technical experience.
* Professional Engineer (PE) license for the State of North Carolina or ability to obtain within 6 months.
* Practical experience and knowledge of civil engineering disciplines.
* Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D for grading, drainage, and stormwater management in land development projects.
* Knowledge of stormwater and erosion control regulations and requirements.
* Project Management experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Experience in residential and commercial project development.
* Department management experience is preferred.
* Experience with Civil 3D is desirable.
Work Environment
This position will be 100% in the office, working behind the desk to put together drawings. Employees have the flexibility to work from home 1-2 times per week if they choose. The office consists of approximately 20-30 employees, with the team size ranging from 10-12.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $35.00/hr.
