Job Description Doucet is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our growing team in Austin, TX. As an intern with Doucet, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting a wide range of civil engineering and land development projects across Texas. Job Responsibilities * Assist with site layout and design tasks for residential, commercial, and municipal land development projects * Prepare and revise plans, profiles, and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D * Conduct site research, collect field data, and assist in preparing technical reports, cost estimates, and drainage analyses * Support the preparation of permitting packages and submittals for city and state regulatory agencies * Perform basic stormwater management calculations and grading tasks under the supervision of licensed engineers * Review and interpret surveys, plats, utility maps, soil reports, and zoning ordinances * Assist in preparing feasibility studies and infrastructure assessments for prospective development sites * Collaborate with engineers, designers, and planners in a team-based environment to meet deadlines and client goals * Attend project meetings and conduct occasional field site visits, as needed Qualifications * Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program * Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 preferred * Proficiency with AutoCAD and working familiarity with Civil 3D; knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Self-motivated with high attention to detail and a willingness to learn * Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work both independently and as part of a team * Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license in good standing for field work or meetings Move Forward with KleinfelderKleinfelder has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
