Job Title: Civil Engineer
Job Description
Our Phoenix office is expanding, and we are seeking Civil Engineers to assist on transportation, water resources, and land development projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and teams, allowing you to explore your interests. Responsibilities
* Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, and other staff.
* Make calculations using engineering formulas and skills.
* Specify items using catalogs when original design is not required.
* Direct drafters on completing drawings for intended designs.
* Conduct research and write reports or opinions.
* Use computers to run standard programs to solve engineering problems.
* Assist in client contact and communication for specific projects and tasks.
* Attend client meetings.
* Assist in analyzing reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs.
* Prepare design computations and quantity estimates.
* Assist in preparing or modifying reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, permits, and designs for projects.
* Perform occasional drafting and may be expected to design portions of a project.
* May perform fieldwork as required.
Essential Skills
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
* Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification preferred, or ability to pass the FE exam within 12 months of employment.
* Excellent written and communication skills.
* Strong math and science skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Project software.
* Familiarity with AutoCAD is highly desirable.

* Ability to prioritize special projects and daily workload efficiently.
* Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment.
* Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours.
Work Environment
The work environment is open, collaborative, and employee-owned, with the potential for stock options. The role may require flexibility in working hours and occasional fieldwork. Familiarity with technologies such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Civil design is advantageous.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
