Job Description

Maitra Associates, P.C. (Maitra), an established multi-disciplined engineering design and construction management firm serving the needs of various clients in the transportation, institutional, and facilities markets, seeks a civil engineering professional with 5-7 years of experience. Projects will include roads, underground utilities, public buildings, recreational facilities, and land use applications. This individual will design and be responsible for various infrastructure projects for the public sector- municipalities, state agencies, and local school districts- and the private sector, both commercial and residential, and report directly to the Project Manager.

Duties:

• Engage in valuable interactions with external clients
• Design site plans for some of the most recognizable clients across a broad spectrum of industries
• Estimate quantities and materials, equipment, or labor costs to determine project feasibility.
• Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, or other topographical or geologic data.
• Conduct studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess potential project impact.
• Perform design activities ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, or other governmental regulations.
• Prepare and present public reports on bid proposals, project status reports, and developmental review projects.
• Provide technical advice to clients regarding design, construction, or capital program modifications.
• Perform construction support services, including providing timely data, shop drawing review, and client coordination.

What You'll Need:

• The ability to learn quickly, strong communication skills, and a solid work ethic
• A passion for design and creative problem-solving
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
• Experience in site/civil design w/ 5-7 years’ experience
• Practical experience with civil engineering software (AutoCAD Civil3D)
