Summary

Job Title: Civil Design Engineer Job Description As a Civil Design Engineer, you will perform site visits to analyze existing conditions, identify stakeholder concerns, and develop engineering recommendations for new or renovated facilities. You will prepare facility design packages for a variety of facilities, including industrial, administrative, storage, and support facilities, ensuring all designs comply with relevant local, state, and federal codes and standards. Additionally, you will prepare technical memoranda and reports that summarize engineering recommendations, conceptual plans, and other technical documentation. You will collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering and manufacturing departments. There is an opportunity to manage projects if you possess the relevant skills and desire, although staff with a 100% technical focus are also needed. Responsibilities * Perform site visits to analyze existing conditions and identify stakeholder concerns. * Develop engineering recommendations for new or renovated facilities. * Prepare facility design packages for industrial, administrative, storage, and support facilities. * Ensure all designs comply with relevant local, state, and federal codes and standards. * Prepare technical memoranda and reports summarizing engineering recommendations and conceptual plans. * Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. * Opportunity to manage projects for those with relevant skills and desire. Essential Skills * Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline. * Experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable. * Minimum of 8 years of design experience required; 10+ years preferred. * Experience with AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software. * Professional engineering license preferred but not required. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Experience with building support systems relevant to the degree. * Experience relevant to energetics manufacturing environments is a plus. * Knowledge of industrial systems with strict humidity and temperature requirements. * Familiarity with explosion-proof equipment. Work Environment This position is remote with 1-2 site visits required every two weeks.
