Job Summary:We are looking for a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to support an esteemed client organization in strengthening its information security program. The role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in policy development, risk management, incident response, and compliance, who can operate independently. This is a contractual role for 3 to 6 months, with immediate joining required.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine the organization's information security strategy in alignment with business and regulatory objectives.
  • Perform security risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and provide mitigation plans.
  • Create, review, and update cybersecurity policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Oversee incident response processes and coordinate with internal teams during security events.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, IT Act, Data Protection Bill guidelines).
  • Support internal teams in implementing secure configurations across IT infrastructure and cloud environments.
  • Liaise with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies on cybersecurity matters.
  • Conduct periodic awareness sessions and recommend improvements in security culture.
  • Provide high-level reporting and insights to client leadership and IT management.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • 15+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with 3+ years in a leadership or CISO advisory capacity.
  • Prior experience working with or consulting for government organizations is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of security frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls.
  • Strong understanding of endpoint, network, and cloud security.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage security initiatives remotely.
