Job Overview

Seeking a skilled Cisco Wireless Engineer to review, redesign, and implement wireless solutions. Extensive experience with Cisco technologies required. High-level engineering role within the Engineering and Service Delivery section. Covers network architecture and Tier 4 troubleshooting. Strong technical background in wireless networking required.

Required Skills

• Cisco Wireless Technologies: Deep understanding of WLCs, APs, RF management, mobility, security.
• Wireless Protocols: Proficiency in IEEE 802.11 standards, Wi-Fi certifications.
• Network Design and Implementation: Design, plan, and implement complex wireless networks.
• Troubleshooting and Optimization: Diagnose and resolve wireless network issues, optimize performance.
• Security: Knowledge of WPA/WPA2(3) encryption, guest access.
• Automation and Orchestration: Familiarity with Cisco DNA Center.
• Documentation: Create and maintain network documentation.
  
  

Technical Skills And Certifications

• Cisco Certifications: CCNP Wireless or higher preferred.
• Wireless Certifications: CWNP certifications advantageous.
• Network Protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS.
• Operating Systems: Proficiency in Windows, macOS, Linux.
• Network Management Tools: Experience with Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Wireshark.
  
  

Specific Job Responsibilities

• RF Planning: Conduct RF surveys, optimize AP placement.
• Mobility Management: Implement and troubleshoot mobility features.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement and support.
• Security Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
