Network Engineer

Location- Pune only (No remote opportunity)

Experience- 10+yrs only

• Design & Implementation:
• Design and deploy Cisco ACI-based data center network architectures.
• Develop application network profiles, End Point Groups (EPGs), Contracts, and Filters in ACI fabric. Configure and manage APIC controllers, fabric switches, and policies.
• Operations & Maintenance:
• Monitor and maintain ACI fabric performance, ensuring optimal operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues within ACI environments.
• Perform regular health checks and software/firmware upgrades for the ACI infrastructure.
• Automation & Integration:
• Automate ACI workflows using Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Integrate ACI with third-party tools for monitoring, orchestration, and security.
• Support network programmability and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) initiatives.
• Security & Compliance:
• Implement ACI security policies and micro-segmentation for enhanced application protection.
• Ensure the network complies with industry standards and organizational policies.
• Collaboration & Documentation:
• Work closely with application, server, and storage teams to meet infrastructure needs.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design diagrams, runbooks, and SOPs.
• Provide knowledge transfer and training to internal teams.

Required Skills

• Certified technical engineer (typically Cisco CCIE or comparable);
• Expertise in Cisco ACI architecture, including APIC, leaf, and spine switches.
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and their integration with ACI
• In-depth hands on experience with common network hardware including F5 Load balancer, Cisco router, switches, firewalls etc., together with other preferred technologies;
• Full understanding of ITIL and service management principals and hands on experience in complex LAN/WAN, MAN, DWDM, SONET architecture;
• Full understanding and operational knowledge of loop prevention protocols like spanning tree protocols;
• In-depth knowledge of L2 protocols like HSRP, VRRP, VTP, 802.1Q, Flex Link, LACP, etc.;
• In-depth working knowledge and troubleshooting of IP routing and network protocols (OSPF,BGP, EIGRP, RIP, spanning tree, multicast etc.);
• Full understanding of operational knowledge for troubleshooting of Cisco operating systems like IOS and NX-OS;

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and ACI integration.
• Understanding of DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies and their interaction with ACI environments
