About The Role

This isn’t a plug-and-play accounting job. We’re seeking a hands-on financial leader who thrives in fast-moving environments, takes full ownership of outcomes, and drives operational efficiency with precision and creativity. You’ll work side-by-side with our CEO as a strategic partner, leading all things finance—from cash flow and compliance to marketing spend and vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Own the Financial Engine

  • Lead all core finance functions: budgeting, forecasting, reporting, AP/AR, and cash flow
  • Maintain financial stability while identifying opportunities for sustainable growth
  • Take full responsibility for accurate, timely, and transparent reporting

Champion Marketing ROI

  • Collaborate with the CEO to build and monitor marketing and e-commerce budgets
  • Analyze spend efficiency, improve allocation, and support revenue-driving initiatives

Navigate Cash & Complexity

  • Lead the company through tight cash flow scenarios with confidence and ingenuity
  • Introduce creative financing solutions (asset-based lending, partnerships, etc.) to unlock liquidity

Strengthen Vendor Partnerships

  • Negotiate smart terms, build trust with key vendors, and keep the supply chain moving without sacrificing cash health

Level Up the Team

  • Manage and mentor a small finance team, instilling accountability and a high-performance mindset
  • Scale systems and processes to match the pace of growth

Stay Ahead of Compliance

  • Own tax planning and compliance with a sharp eye for savings and zero tolerance for surprises
  • Maintain clean books and bulletproof audit readiness

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years in finance/accounting roles, with 5+ years in a leadership capacity
  • Deep understanding of financial operations in e-commerce, DTC, or high-growth companies
  • Track record of successfully navigating challenging cash scenarios
  • Expertise in vendor negotiation, budgeting, and marketing finance
  • Proficiency in financial software (QuickBooks a plus) and ERP systems
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • A proactive mindset: you don’t wait for instructions—you see what needs doing and make it happen
