Summary

The role will hold business development and sales responsibility for API Generics markets

Reports to Business Head API & Established Products


Education: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific subject or equivalent experience in a relevant environment(chemistry, biology etc.), MBA Preferred


Experience:

Candidate with 10-15 years of pharma (preferably API) experience across the markets like Japan, China, Korea and Taiwan with good communication skills in English


Key Competencies:

•Proven track record of achieving the budgets and showing growth in revenue Y-O-Y with atleast budgeted margins

•Should exhibit sound understanding of striking win-win negotiations with customers across the territories for business expansion.

•Have strong skills for identifying the opportunities and ability to shape them up into a business.

•Good knowledge about the dynamics of these territories and customer contacts to forge stronger ties for future business

•Ability to quickly align with organizational requirements in terms of culture, values and customer centricity and manifest them in daily dealings with all stake holders.

•Able and willing to travel extensively in these markets and keep the customer contacts alive and healthy.

•Exhibit the vision and will to achieve organizational goals with strong team work and collaboration.


Key Role and responsibilities:


•Identify sales opportunities and establish relationships with existing customers to generate future sales, avenues for cross-selling, and repeat business.

•Develop and implement strategic plans for key accounts in assigned territory.

•Contact new accounts and leverage network to map opportunities. Prepare and deliver client proposals in collaboration with Program Managers.

•Negotiate agreements of sale to close accounts and secure long-term agreements.

•Interface with supply planning/production functions and export logistics/shipping team to ensure dispatch as per customer time-lines and liaise with regulatory team to meet statutory requirements.

•Partner with R&D and Strategic Marketing teams to identify new products and ensure that they are developed as per agreed timelines and costs.

•Participate in strategy and annual planning meetings. Report on sales performance and funnel. Develop forecast, budget, and track performance.

•Retain, expand, and strengthen client relationships by ensuring high-quality customer service and issue resolution.

•Develop and maintain a current understanding of the external marketplace (e.g., conditions, trends, and competitors) as well as internal capabilities and technologies.

•Lead and manage records of relevant client information in Salesforce.com database
