The Chemical Transload Operator will utilize transload equipment within the rail yard, loading and unloading Hazardous and Non-Hazardous materials. The operator will be responsible for transferring products from railcars to tank trailers etc.
Responsibilities:
Prepare equipment for product transfer.
Climb onto the top and crawl underneath railcars to inspect railcars and transload materials.
Perform safe and efficient transfer of products from railcars to tank trailers etc.
Responsible for the operation as it relates to; compressors, auxiliary, equipment, engines, pump stations, pumps, valves, tanks, pipelines, and other related equipment.
Comply with PPE (personal protective equipment) requirements and dress code.
Guage and record trailer weight.
Perform general inspection and monitoring of related equipment. Report equipment abnormalities or failures immediately to supervisor.
Ensure the safe and proper handling, documentation, and security of goods during the transfer process.
Complete all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and with federal, state and local regulations.
Transfers take place outside in all weather-trans loaders will work in inclement weather.
Job Requirements:
Ability to work outside much of the time and withstand extreme weather conditions.
Must maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance.
Must be available for shift work when applicable, overtime when required and must be available to respond during working and non-working hours as required.
Must be able to work as a team, take direction and follow work rules as well as take on additional job responsibilities as needed.
Ability to learn, apply and adhere to rail yard policies.
High School diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License
