Join the exceptional team at Under Grain, a Michelin-star fine dining restaurant located in the heart of Valletta. We are currently seeking a Chef de Rang to deliver refined, attentive service and uphold the highest standards of hospitality.
Responsibilities
Ensure excellent service, from guest seating to food and beverage presentation, in line with Michelin-star standards.
Maintain detailed knowledge of the menu, ingredients, and wine list to confidently answer guest questions and make recommendations.
Coordinate with the kitchen and sommelier teams to ensure smooth and timely delivery of dishes and beverages.
Ensuring tables are impeccably set and the station is organized.
Anticipate guest needs and preferences, delivering an exceptional and personalized dining experience.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the dining area during and after service.
Mentor and guide junior team members when needed.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a fine dining or Michelin-starred restaurant.
Strong knowledge of fine dining etiquette, service sequences, and guest engagement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and polished demeanor.
Passionate about hospitality, with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of additional languages is considered an asset.
Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Positive attitude and ability to work calmly under pressure as part of a team.
