The Las Vegas Rescue Mission (LVRM) is seeking a Chef de Partie to assist in overseeing all operations of our 3-meal-a-day Kitchen/Dining Facility. We are a private, faith-based organization that serves our community by offering a safe place for men and women to break the cycle of homelessness and addiction.
LVRM serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner to clients in the Mission’s Residential Addiction Recovery program, its Overnight Shelters, which serve homeless men, women, and children, along with a daily Community evening meal.
The successful candidate must have extensive banquet and large volume catering experience. This will include menu planning, staff scheduling, creating and directing prep lists, supervising cooks, clients, and volunteers, as well as opening and closing the kitchen and dining hall.
This is a hands-on cooking position with limited administrative responsibilities. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who aspires to cook quality foods and create a positive working environment for our clients and cooks. Good communication and people skills are extremely important in this role.
Minimum five (5) years industry cooking experience. Available to work days, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
All kitchen employees must have a current Southern Nevada Health District ‘Food Handler Safety Training’ Card (Health Card) along with a good understanding of safe culinary practice.
