Summary

As Channel Planning Manager, you will create forecasts for and manage inventory levels of parts & accessories at Delivery Hubs, Regional Distribution Centers, Service Centers, and Body Shops worldwide, design process improvements and next-generation planning systems, and perform data analytics for Global Service Supply Chain Operations. We are the team responsible for forecasting parts and accessories to support Tesla's customers from the factory gate onwards. You will work with Production, Procurement, Logistics & Distribution, and Field Operations teams to understand regional demand and supply needs and support Global Service's operational goals and metrics. You will be a thought leader in developing end-to-end channel planning solutions and managing project execution. The role is highly visible due to the scope of responsibility and impact, so you will have executive-level exposure. It is essential that you think strategically, connecting the dots in the bigger picture, as well as being comfortable with the details of the deliverables. To be a successful candidate for this role you be an energetic, driven individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. * Create forecasts for and manage inventory levels of parts & accessories across Regional Distribution Centers, Service Centers, and Body Shops in North America to support service demand, minimize freight costs, and optimize inventory levels * Maintain channel planning master data MRP parameters to ensure accurate demand signals * Deliver results and gain buy-in from executives on a regular basis * Work fluidly in a highly cross-functional team environment involving Production, Procurement, Logistics & Distribution, and Field Operations as well as Packaging Engineering, and Conveyance personnel * Continuously improve Channel Planning forecast accuracy, service level, and fill rate KPIs * Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability * Minimum of 2 years of experience or Master's degree + 1 year of internship experience * Strong background and experience in Inventory management strategies, forecasting, advanced planning analytics, and data science * Proficient in MS Excel required; ERP/WRP systems, SQL, and data visualization programs such as Tableau are preferred * Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on demand despite changes in work scope or focus * Open-minded, collaborative, and team-oriented attitude with the ability to think outside the box to solve complex challenges * Self-motivation, strong work ethic, and a passion for being hands-on in their work
