Summary
Responsibilities:
Provide critical support to central and local operations, contributing to the effective functioning of the Institutional Review Board (IRB).
Members of the support staff, selected for their expertise, should hold the Public Responsibility in Medicine & Research (PRIM&R) Certified IRB Professional (CIP) designation.
Possess a minimum of 5 (5) years of hands-on experience in IRB functions, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks, including OHRP and FDA regulations, NIH Policy, and AAHRPP standards related to IRB.
Serve as expert-level resources for the interpretation and application of regulatory guidelines, providing guidance to both central and local IRB teams.
Management-level professionals within this role should demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills, tailoring messages for diverse stakeholders with varying information needs.
Plan and execute communication strategies that enhance understanding and compliance with regulatory requirements, ensuring clarity and transparency.
Act as content experts, offering insights during discussions and providing training to IRB staff and other stakeholders.
Demonstrate public speaking skills, representing the organization at relevant forums and contributing to the dissemination of information related to IRB functions.
Qualifications:
Hold the Public Responsibility in Medicine & Research (PRIM&R) Certified IRB Professional (CIP) designation.
Possess a minimum of 5 (5) years of hands-on experience in IRB roles, showcasing a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks.
Expert-level knowledge in the interpretation and application of OHRP and FDA regulations, NIH Policy, and AAHRPP standards related to IRB.
