We are currently recruiting for the position of CDL Class A Truck Driver.
Pay Rate: $26.00/hr
The tasks and responsibilities for the CDL Class A Truck Driver are outlined below:
Operates a semi-truck according to applicable state and federal DOT rules and regulations.
Must have TWIC and valid CDL license
Must be able to do pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers.
Must be able to do minor repairs to trucks/trailers, to keep all equipment running during the shift.
Must be able to communicate with other drivers and work with irregular schedules.
Must be able to clearly communicate with customer and carry out the assigned task.
Must be able to clearly communicate problems with equipment to the fleet coordinator.
Must be able to work with other departments in the company to accomplish task in these departments.
Must make adjustments in the Transportation Management System to clearly show trailer moves throughout the shift.
Move trailers for loading/unloading purposes and haul them over public roadways.
The skills and qualifications required for the CDL Class A Truck Driver are outlined below:
High school education or GED preferred.
Class A CDL
3-5 years of experience in a truck driving role with a proven track record of similar duties.
Experience in driving both manual and automatic transmission trucks.
Strong communication skills both orally and written required.
Work requires significant attention to details in safety, record keeping, logging and inspections.
Requires basic ability to use a tablet computer and software applications.
Ability to frequently lift 35 lbs to 50 lbs and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
