Position: CCTV & IT Technician
Location: Guwahati, Assam
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shift: Day Shift
Work Mode: In person
Travel Requirement: Up to 50% (Preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
CCTV Installation & Maintenance:
- Install, configure, and maintain CCTV systems including analog and IP cameras
- Set up DVR/NVR systems and integrate remote viewing solutions
- Troubleshoot camera/video issues, perform regular system checks, and maintain logs
- Ensure proper coverage, alignment, and recording settings for all installed systems
Networking & IT Support:
- Install and configure LAN/WAN systems, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi access points
- Maintain structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6) and network racks
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues, IP conflicts, and performance lags
- Support in setting up and maintaining workstations, PCs, and basic IT peripherals
Low Voltage & Electrical Integration:
- Lay conduit, cable trays, and structured wiring for low-voltage systems
- Perform minor electrical works related to security and automation devices
- Ensure all safety standards and installation best practices are followed
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Education:
- ITI / Diploma / Bachelor's in:
- Computer Hardware & Networking
- Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Information Technology
- Not compulsory if you have required knowledge and experience.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of CCTV technology and surveillance system integration
- Familiarity with networking (IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, etc.)
- Knowledge of cable dressing, crimping, testing, and patch panel setup
- Basic Windows knowledge for system setup and troubleshooting
- Ability to read technical diagrams and follow standard installation protocols
- Basic knowledge of UPS, power supplies, and electrical safety for IT setups
Preferred Qualities:
- Willingness to travel within North-East India
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Punctual, detail-oriented, and self-driven attitude
