Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain a team that is able to respond to the needs of a family during a psychiatric crisis, while ensuring that the treatment is strengths-based, individualized, child-centered, family-focused, community based, multi-systemic, and culturally competent.
* Train, assist and monitor a staff of Master's Level clinicians, Bachelor's Level clinicians and Family Partners ensuring their proficiency in the fundamentals of the wraparound service model.
* Train, assist and monitor all staff in crisis assessment, development of safety plans and continually assure such plans / assessments emphasize family skill building, utilizing natural supports, and collaboration with established treatment providers.
* Ensure linkage and coordination to community-based treatment options to minimize the need for out of home, more restrictive placements.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with other providers of youth and family services in the community to strengthen referral stream both in and out.
* Coordinate with area CBHI providers, Intensive Care Coordinators, DCF offices and local school systems to ensure seamless coordination of care.
* Develop, maintain and monitor systems to measure service outcomes and adherence to the core principals of the MCI objectives.
* Develop, implement and manage utilization of Urgent Care services.
* Create a work environment which supports a strong culture of immediate access, person centered treatment, evidence-based treatment, and customer service.
* Develop systems to monitor utilization and billing to match services with available revenue streams.
* Provide direct supervision to direct reports within Urgent Care services.
* Provide leadership, support and clinical guidance to all staff supervised in accordance with CBHC policies and procedures.
* Ensure Urgent Care leadership are providing supervision that focuses on interventions to individuals that focus on problem solving, skills training, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement.
Qualifications:
* Requires a Master's degree in social work, psychology, or counseling, with corresponding independent licensure
* Four years of clinical experience, two of which were in a supervisory role
* Expertise providing behavioral health and crisis services to children and families with solid understanding of the mental health system and services available in the state of Massachusetts
* Understanding and experience with the wraparound model and systems of care approach is strongly preferred
* Must have the ability to multitask, think quickly and clearly, efficiently convey information, establish and maintain strong relationships with community referral sources, and maintain ongoing positive relationships with families, treatment providers and third party payers
* Knowledge of the vast array of community resources and how to access them
