Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP is currently seeking a catering attendant to work in the Calgary office. The successful candidate will report to the Office Services and Facilities (OS&F) team leader. The primary responsibilities of the position are outlined below.
Please note the shift is from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; however, it may vary between 7:00 a.m. from 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday with some additional overtime when needed.
You Will Be Focusing On
- Greet clients and visitors, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment in the conference area
- Prepare and set up both catering items and furnishings in boardrooms for internal and external meetings as well as special events
- Clean and maintain all boardrooms, coffee stations and lounge to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and safety
- Ensure proper food handling techniques and sanitation practices are always used
- Place food and beverage orders for internal and external meetings
- Assist with managing inventory to ensure appropriate level of food items and meeting room supplies is maintained
- Assist with Level 1 support for AV issues in meeting rooms, escalating to Level 2 as needed
- Perform various related administrative tasks for the OS&F team, which may include preparing invoices for approval, running reports on meeting room utilization and posting internal communications notices via Scoop and other duties as requested
- Assist reception team with lunch/break coverage
What You Bring To The Role
- Experience or knowledge of client and food services industry
- Passionate about delivering exceptional service to ensure an exceptional client experience
- Possess excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and our clients and guests
- Demonstrate a solutions-driven approach with the ability to anticipate clients’ needs
- Solid computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and EMS room management software or another similar boardroom booking program
- Ability to succeed in a team-based environment as well as excel independently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads
- Flexibility in scheduling work hours to accommodate the timing of events, which may include working early mornings, evenings and weekends
