This role is critical to ensuring that SOW terms align with Legal's annotated clause guidance and sourcing policies. The successful candidate will serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders and suppliers, managing approximately 2,400 SOWs annually.

The Category Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to negotiate terms, drive compliance, and deliver value to the organization.



Key Responsibilities:

SOW Review and Negotiation:

  • Review and negotiate SOWs in accordance with Legal's annotated clause guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with sourcing policies, including competitive bidding and preferred supplier utilization.
  • Identify and mitigate risks within contract terms and conditions.


Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand project scopes and requirements.
  • Provide consultation on SOW structuring to align with organizational objectives.


Supplier Engagement:

  • Act as the primary liaison with suppliers during SOW negotiations.
  • Resolve disputes and align on favorable terms.


Process Management and Reporting:

  • Manage a streamlined review process to handle high volumes efficiently.
  • Maintain detailed records of negotiations and final agreements.
  • Track metrics related to SOW turnaround times and compliance, contributing to KPI dashboards.


Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of procurement systems (e.g., Coupa, Ariba, Icertis) and contract management processes.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset and proficiency in interpreting and applying legal and sourcing guidelines.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage high volumes of contracts.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, contract negotiation, or a related domain.
