Job Description
Collin County's Community Supervision and Corrections Department (CSCD) is seeking candidates for the position of Caseworker. This position generally works out of the beautiful Russell A. Steindam Courts Building in McKinney, Texas. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. Working up to 32 hours per week from home may be available after training and performance requirements are met. Work schedule is flexible within the hours of 6:00am and 8:00pm; Monday - Sunday.
WHAT WE OFFER:
The Collin County Community Supervision and Corrections department is a state-funded entity whose primary objective is to monitor and assist in the rehabilitation of offenders who are sentenced to community supervision (probation). ABOUT THE JOB
The Caseworker position's primary focus is to maintain case-related files, communicate with offenders and supervising officers, and collect court-ordered financial obligations. Caseworkers must be able to maintain case files and notes using the designated computer systems.
WHO WE NEED:
All candidates must have:
* A level of education equivalent to four years of high school (diploma or GED).
* The ability to type at a rate of 35 WPM or better.
* A valid Class C Texas State Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
* The ability to efficiently utilize computer systems and perform accurate and timely data entry.
Preferred candidates will also have:
* Some college education
* Bilingual speaking and reading ability in English/Spanish

Testing Requirements
This position requires that you pass a typing test at the minimum rate specified above.
* If you have taken a typing test with us within the last 6 months that meets or exceeds the requirements above, you do not need to take it again.
* If you have never taken our typing test, have not met the requirements above, or it has been more than 6 months since your last test, you will need to take the test in order for your application to be complete.
Typing tests are administered in the Human Resources Testing room from 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. You do not need an appointment to test, but you will need to bring a government issued photo ID.
