Case Manager – Advocate for Survivors, Empower Change!
Are you passionate about supporting survivors of domestic violence and helping them rebuild their lives? BHcare is seeking a Case Manager to provide trauma-informed services, crisis intervention, and critical support to individuals at high risk.
What You’ll Do:
Provide trauma-informed counseling and case management to survivors and their families
Assist clients with safety planning, crisis intervention, and community referrals
Connect survivors with vital resources, including housing, healthcare, legal aid, and employment services
Collaborate with law enforcement and other agencies to enhance client safety
Develop individualized service plans based on risk assessments and client needs
Maintain accurate case records and ensure timely reporting
Participate in ongoing training and professional development
What We’re Looking For:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required
Experience: 2+ years in advocacy or direct service for domestic violence survivors (preferred)
Language Skills: Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
Skills & Knowledge: Crisis intervention, counseling, and a deep understanding of diverse populations
Tech Proficiency: Microsoft 365 and electronic health records (EHR) experience required
Certification: Must obtain and maintain domestic violence counselor certification per CGS 52-146K
Transportation: Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree required.
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) required
2 years Advocacy and/or direct service experience working with survivors of domestic violence in a community-based setting preferred.
Experience assisting traditionally underserved populations with a developed understanding of issues of diversity essential.
Crisis intervention and counseling skills.
Knowledge of community resources.
Must have working knowledge of computer applications, and if applicable ability to navigate through electronic health record.
Must be able to attend required training during first week of employment, which is Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the domestic violence counselor certification per CGS 52-146K before providing direct service to clients, followed with six-hour recertification yearly.
Must have and maintain a valid CT drivers license if relocated to CT as a state resident more than 30 days ago. Also, must maintain an acceptable driving record and be insurable at a reasonable rate under the Organizations auto insurance plan.
