The Carpenter position is perfect for an individual who has a passion for building,
a can do attitude, and is a team player. Ideally we are looking for applicants who
would like to grow with the company!
Qualification and Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Certified Journeyman Carpenter (Red Seal) preferred but will consider a combination of relevant education and experience AND/OR apprentice carpenter with minimum 2 years experience
Valid driver’s license
Own vehicle and clear Drivers Abstract
Must have own hand tools
OFA training is considered an asset
Display ability to read and interpret blueprints
Prior experience and familiarity with making custom concrete forms is considered an asset
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Skilled in rough and finish carpentry work
Be knowledgeable and familiar with construction documents, drawings, and local building codes
To construct various architectural components based on provided blueprints
Arrive on site prepared for work with the tools necessary to complete required tasks
General housekeeping including maintaining a tidy and orderly job site
Moving/loading/unloading various materials
Setup/removal of protection material for finished work (i.e. laying melamine, laying drop sheets, setting up plastic coverings, etc.)
To build and install millwork plus concrete forms
To construct high end back-framing (fireplaces, roofs, etc.)
Various other tasks as required
