You Will The Cargo Manager Is responsible for the overall direction of the Station. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues. * Responsible for the day-to-day safe and efficient operation of cargo operations while ensuring customer service standards and contractual services are met. * Attend and contribute to internal meetings * Effectively manage staff time to reduce dependence on overtime. * Ensure reliable customer service delivery and on time performance by providing leadership, operational direction and resources required. * Develop professional relationship with internal and external customer to ensure effective cargo operations. * Ensure the appropriate standards of safety and security are achieved with corporate requirements, government legislation and international best practice. * Responsible to ensure that all cargo staff adheres to the company policies and procedures, upholding safety and security. * Implement a review and risk assessment process on all SOPs and working practices to identify any unsafe practice areas for quality improvement. * Handle critical issues through liaison with station managers, airport authorities and internal departments to effectively deal with situations. * Assume responsibility for accident investigation, reporting and statistical analysis. * Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. * Establishes a culture that promotes safety through daily observation, shift briefings/safety meetings, routine audits, training, and documented safety procedures. * Conducts oneself in such a way as to become the benchmark for the Station in integrity, fairness, personal attitude, and respect for others. * Able to meet the Station's attendance standards.
