The Southeast Los Angeles County Workforce Development Board (SELACO WDB), is seeking a dedicated Career Development Specialist I (CDSI) to join our Youth Department. This role supports young participants in achieving their full potential by assisting with intake, assessments, orientations, enrollments, follow-ups, and the distribution of support services and checks. The CDSI will also help ensure the department meets its performance goals while maintaining accurate records in designated platforms and ensuring all WIOA and eligibility requirements are met.

As part of the Boots on the Ground team, the CDSI will be out-stationed at various community locations to strengthen the connection between disconnected youth and SELACO’s services. They will also play a key role in facilitating orientations and supporting SELACO’s WDB specialized youth programs/activities that enhance job readiness such as workshops, participant engagement activities and more.

Ideal candidates should be proficient in Microsoft programs, detail-oriented, comfortable with public speaking/outreach activities, and passionate about supporting youth in their career development journey.
