Summary

The Campus Operations Manager serves as a senior operational leader at the campus and reports directly to the Business Unit Managing Director. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the campus while creating and maintaining an environment that supports a high-quality, safe, and delightful educational experience. The Campus Operations Manager oversees facilities management, staff supervision, student services, and campus events, while integrating with group resources to ensure operational excellence. They are responsible for the overall campus experience both in and out of the classroom and are expected to participate in sales and brand-building activities, fee collection, and other initiatives as required by the group.

Qualifications

  • Honours Degree in Management or related discipline (Master's Degree advantageous)
  • Minimum 5+ years of management experience, preferably in an educational setting
  • Experience in operations management of a similar business or professional services firm
  • Experience in a similar position at another tertiary institution would be beneficial
  • Valid South African driver's license

  • Strong operational and facility management expertise
  • Project management skills
  • Negotiating and vendor management skills
  • Knowledge of the higher education environment and relevant legislation
  • Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in relevant software and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure with integrity
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • People-centric approach with coaching and mentoring skills
