Summary

The CAMO SAFETY & COMPLIANCE MONITORING MANAGER provides the independent function as required by EASA Part CAMO.A.305. Reporting to the Accountable Manager, the CAMO Safety and CMM is responsible for monitoring the continued compliance with EASA Part M, and company procedures in line with promoting a strong safety & security culture within the organisation.



Responsibilities:

  1. Establishing and maintaining a programme of independent audits to ensure continuing compliance with this CAME and EASA Part M.
  2. Monitoring the timely accomplishment of audit corrective actions.
  3. Compliance audit of company aircraft.
  4. Performing an annual review of the remedial actions/recommendations found during the annual audits as per the Compliance audit plan and notifying the Accountable Manager of any non-conformance findings indicating a serious breakdown of company procedure.
  5. Ensure a formal Compliance review meeting takes place with the Accountable Manager at least twice a year and provide a half yearly report on the Compliance system.
  6. Monitoring all contracted maintenance that it is being performed in accordance with the contract and by appropriately approved EASA Part 145 organisations.
  7. Provide feedback to the persons nominated in CAME in relation the results from the independent audit.
  8. Retain records from the Compliance system for a period of at least 2 years.
  9. Report, on behalf of the organisation, to the IAA, any identified condition of an aircraft or component, which endangers flight safety.
  10. Monitoring and revision of the CAME including associated/supporting procedures in organisational manuals.
  11. Generating and amending procedural instructions in support of the CAME.
  12. Oversight of the functioning of the occurrence reporting system.
  13. Analyse and investigate all occurrences collected in order to identify the safety hazards associated with identified occurrences or groups of occurrences.
  14. Maintain the CAMO safety hazard register.
  15. Participation and attendance at CAMO SAG’s and the Organisation’s Safety Review Board (SRB).
  16. Monitoring the services of all sub-contract Organisations providing continuing airworthiness services.
  17. Control of deviations from CAME procedures.
  18. Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of legislative requirements, promulgated by various Aviation Authorities, relevant to the operation of the company.



Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a continuing airworthiness Compliance and Safety role, with at least 2 years in a management role
  2. A Part-66 license or relevant engineering degree
  3. Formal aeronautical maintenance training including Part M and Part 145 Training
  4. Formal Internal or Lead Auditor Training
  5. Formal Safety Management training relevant to CAMO operations
  6. Formal Safety Investigator training relevant to CAMO operations
  7. Knowledge of A320 Aircraft (or similar) through formal training (Part-66 Level 1 Gen Fam)
  8. Knowledge and understanding IOSA Audit Programmes and Auditing Techniques
  9. Knowledge of human factors, human performance and limitations
  10. Knowledge of safety risks, CDCCL, EWIS, critical tasks
