As a Camera Systems Engineer at Meta, you will be a single threaded owner (STO) of the camera systems in Meta Reality Labs (RL) products, responsible for the end-to-end technical delivery of the camera modules and making sure the module is well integrated to the system, meeting system requirements. This role focuses on ensuring that technical specifications, requirements, and deliverables are met through close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including architecture, design, validation, process and systems engineering. The STO is accountable for the entire lifecycle of the module, from initial concept to mass production, with emphasis on aligning design and simulation with actual build data, ensuring the module/system is delivered to spec.BS degree in Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience in camera module design, optical simulation, metrology, testing and lab work to verify imaging component, assembly and system level performance. Experience with high-volume consumer electronics manufacturing, partnering with offshore suppliers and contract manufacturers. Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. MS degree in Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related technical discipline 5+ years of experience in camera module design, optical simulation, metrology, testing and lab work to verify imaging component, assembly and system level performance.
