Summary
Overall responsibilities and duties: Our Automated Driving Product Division is looking for a lead engineer for camera Image processing. This person will be responsible for managing the image signal processing (ISP) block inside of the SoC implemented in the automotive camera platform system ECU, tuning the image quality of the connected cameras, and presenting ISP tuning capability to customers during the business acquisition process. Supported camera types are surround view, rear camera, driver monitoring, and occupant monitoring. Major tasks & responsibilities: Identification of customer needs, analysis and evaluation of whether a given SoC can meet the customer requirements Understanding the specifications of the ISP block in a given SoC, designing software that is portable to different SoCs, and designing video pipeline using generic cores Designing for Linux OS/QNX OS Optimizing ISP processing to keep the required framerate Image quality adjustment of platform camera system Examination of prototype performance, testing of actual driving situations, and creation/modification of image quality tuning tools Handle technical explanations and demonstrations to customers Supporting the preparation of customer RFQs responses and actively participating in project meetings Collaboration and sharing of design technologies with overseas sites Market research and examination of advanced image processing technologies Contribution to Technology Roadmap and Strategic Planning Representing the company at select technology exhibitions Qualifications The ideal candidate will have/be: Minimum education level: Master or Bachelor degree in an engineering discipline, computer science, physics, software design, or optics Experience: 5+ years’ experience in a similar role Technical experience in electronics, software, or optics. Skills and competencies: Familiarity with automotive safety requirements (FMVSS111, ISO 26262, etc.) Product and system architecture knowledge (ADAS, IMS/DMS,…) Automotive product development and testing methodologies knowledge Ability to work with globally distributed teams Strong capability to analyse and debug technical issues Good customer communication skills Advanced written and spoken English Ability to travel nationally and internationally to work with global product, sales, and engineering teams Collaborates with others Drives results Cultivates innovation
