About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager with a background preferably in natural sciences, but also social sciences are acceptable. The candidate should have knowledge of project managementstatistics, and ideally quality assurance, to coordinate current projects and support the acquisition of new R&D projects at EMUNI University.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate project activities within the R&D department
  • Ensure timely execution of deliverables, respecting deadlines and quality standards
  • Manage data analysis and reporting using statistical tools
  • Facilitate communication between teams, stakeholders, and funding bodies
  • Prepare technical reports, grant proposals, and documentation in English
  • Organize and participate in meetings, workshops, and conferences
  • Monitor budgets and ensure efficient resource allocation
  • Support the dissemination of research results

Requirements

  • PhD in Natural Sciences (e.g., Biology, Environmental Science) or Social Sciences
  • Experience in project management in research, academia, or industry
  • Strong skills in statistics and data analysis (knowledge of usage of a statistical software is a plus)
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
  • Proactive, solution-oriented approach with the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Advantage: experience in quality assurance in higher education or research
  • Experience in drafting applications for EU project calls and a solid understanding of key EU programmes such as Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, and Interreg.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools (e.g., AdminProject, MS Project, Asana, or similar)
