The primary duties for a Electromechanical Repair Technician position include knowledge of the repair of servo motors, AC & DC motors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, etc. Must be able to order parts as necessary and have strong basic knowledge of Basic Electronics, be able to use a computer and be mechanically inclined. Technicians will be required to perform repairs and standard maintenance of units, practice good troubleshooting skills, use basic and specialized tools and test equipment to insure complete repairs.
Duties And Responsibilities
Proper motor disassembly and reassembly
Pre-cleaning and diagnostic evaluation
Perform preventive maintenance
Replace bearings
Replace seals
Replace O-rings
Test electrical and servo feedback devices
Utilize test equipment such as oscilloscopes along with manufacturers software
Use of or ability to learn feedback alignment software
Perform reliability testing using amplifier and drive
Use of basic and specialized shop tools and test equipment
Clean and paint motors
