Summary

Are you a detail-driven technician who takes pride in accuracy, calibration, and measurement excellence? We’re looking for a Calibration Technician/Metrologist to join our Quality and Engineering team and play a vital role in ensuring precision, compliance, and equipment performance across our operations.


This is a hands-on role where you’ll operate advanced metrology tools, maintain calibration programs, and support audits with expert-level data and documentation. If you enjoy working with high-precision equipment and thrive in a clean, process-focused environment, you’ll feel right at home here.


What You’ll Do

  • Perform high-accuracy dimensional inspections using CMMs, optical comparators, micrometers, laser tools, and more.
  • Calibrate and maintain measuring equipment in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
  • Develop and manage calibration procedures, uncertainty budgets, and documentation.
  • Maintain a robust calibration database with traceable records and certifications.
  • Troubleshoot and coordinate service for underperforming or noncompliant equipment.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams on GD&T, prints, and inspection plans.
  • Apply SPC methods to monitor data trends and improve inspection processes.
  • Support internal and external audits (ISO, UL DAP, customer reviews).


What You’ll Bring

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Metrology, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a metrology, calibration, or quality inspection role.
  • Strong understanding of dimensional metrology, GD&T, calibration principles, and uncertainty analysis.
  • Experience operating and/or programming CMMs (LK, Camio preferred), optical comparators, laser tools, and related equipment.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and calibration management software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and general documentation tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and recordkeeping.


Preferred Qualifications

  • ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) or similar credentials.
  • Experience supporting UL DAP audits or ISO 17025 accreditation processes.
  • Working knowledge of Micro-Vu Vision Systems or Camio CMM software.
